In some cases, increased warehousing costs or changes in market conditions may lead the owner to forgo clearance.<\/p><p lang=\"en\">Once goods are classified as abandoned, a specific legal procedure is followed to determine their disposition. At this stage, the goods are usually handed over to the state property organization to be sold through auction or other legal methods. In some cases, if the owner comes forward before the final steps are completed, it may be possible to pursue the status of the goods upon payment of fines and related costs.<\/p><p lang=\"en\">Familiarity with customs regulations and timely completion of clearance procedures can prevent goods from becoming abandoned. Traders and importers are advised to thoroughly review the required documentation, permits, and clearance conditions before the goods enter the country.
